April: +15
Every afternoon at work April reaches for a snack. She usually buys something from the vending machines. On average April's snack is 160 calories, or the equivalent of two chocolate chip cookies. Little did April realize that just an extra 160 calories a day added one-third of a pound per week, which means she added 1 1/4 pounds per month or 15 pounds that year!

April, It All Adds Up!

Larry: -15
During the last decade Larry had put on quite a few extra pounds and he felt it was time to trim down. He wasn't the kind of guy to join a gym but he heard that walking was a really good way to lose weight. He committed to walking just 30 minutes a day. He would take the stairs whenever he could and he decided to take a quick 15 minute walk at lunch. Almost every day after dinner he would walk with his wife.

Little did Larry realize that he was burning an extra 160 calories a day and before he knew it he had lost 1 1/4 pounds a month or a total of 15 pounds that year. That was three years ago - today Larry is trim and he would be the first to tell you, "Get Moving, Because It All Adds Up!"
